My Heart in Art
I'm so glad you came to visit I hope you enjoy your time here.
I desire to change the world and make people’s lives better. My art usually has a meaning behind the picture. My desire is that my art will bring joy, peace and love to you and your view of the world. Often the impact of my art is only fully realized when the meaning or story behind it is understood. At times the title reveals the meaning, other times the meaning is deep and more lengthy to describe. Part of the story will be with the art piece but for longer stories you will want to visit the blog and search by title. The picture can take on a new view when the meaning is realized.
I have a love for people of all ages. What interests me most is who someone is. I believe each person has great value and beauty. (For more of my view of people read Lady Rose description). I have six children and have had many fun experiences raising them. Living with eight personalities in a home gave me a real appreciation and respect of differences.
I have lived in diverse places (TN, MT, AL, FL, KY) in the United States and have traveled to all 50 states and a couple of countries. When I paint a piece I decide which area of the country would best portray the art piece. I also like to include specific names of plants and such if I have them incase a client enjoys knowing that.
My background also gives a depth emotionally, mentally and spiritually to my art. I have been through tremendously difficult things and healed and am better for them. My art reflects a depth of meaning.

My Training in Art
Thank you for visiting my site.
My art training started after I had my first child and I needed to get a break from being a mom. For years I took random adult classes. However, I longed to have a thorough teaching that would take me from beginning to advanced in my art.
After I moved to Kentucky with my kids I found the Minnesota Art Institute and they have this type of teaching and I graduated from there. I also took a class at Western Kentucky University. I am currently attending Lindsey Wilson College in Kentucky. I love learning and a challenge. I plan to press forward always in my art and I try to draw something each day.
Many people say, "you're so talented". Perhaps this is true but instead I think, "no, I just didn't give up in working at it". It is hours of work and training, practice and experimenting. It is learning to enjoy life and keeping going when I am not. The training never ends and I enjoy learning. God also encourages me in my art and so I keep moving forward.
Thank you for visiting my site and letting me share a piece of my story with you. I hope you have enjoyed it.
